Providers
Every provider amicu knows about, what apply can deploy to today, and a page for each.
A provider is set by provider on a hardware_profile. It decides where apply runs the deployment. Open a provider for setup, configuration, regions, and troubleshooting.
Supported
Wired into amicu apply: this machine (local, local_apple, local_cpu, on_prem) and Modal. Modal is the only one tested end to end.
Preview
An adapter exists and is tested against mocks. Not wired into apply.
- HetznerDedicated GPU servers in German and Finnish data centers.
- OVHcloudPublic Cloud GPU instances from a French sovereign cloud.
- ScalewaySingle-GPU instances in French, Dutch and Polish regions.
- RunPodProvider-managed GPU pods across EU, EEA and worldwide data centers.
- Self-hosted over SSHHardware you declare and own, reached over SSH.
Planned
No adapter yet. Region and GPU catalog data only.
Where to start
- A GPU provider: open it in the list above. Today
applysupports Modal as a remote GPU provider; the others are in preview or planned. The Quickstart, Path B walks through it. - This machine: see This machine, or Quickstart, Path A.
What the statuses mean
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Supported | Wired into amicu apply. Today: this machine (local, local_apple, local_cpu, on_prem) and Modal as a remote GPU provider. |
| Preview | A provisioning adapter exists and is tested against mocks. Not live-tested and not wired into apply. |
| Planned | Region and GPU catalog data only. Provisioning is not built. |
validate and plan use the region catalogs of preview and planned providers for residency and cost checks. A deployment whose provider apply cannot run fails with an error before anything starts. It does not fall back to running locally.
Off-machine providers
Every provider other than the four local ones serves the endpoint off the machine, so:
- the deployment must declare
api_key = secret("NAME")(AMICU-POLICY-007otherwise), and applyverifies the endpoint rejects anonymous requests.
See Endpoint auth.
What to do for an unsupported provider today
Provision the machine yourself, install the runtime there, and run amicu on it with the on_prem provider.
